I guess some people go to great lengths for off-season rally training.
I have to confess that I am still intrigued by the new Toyota FJ (frame cracks not withstanding). Having driven and ridden in a couple of them, I can say that they are comfortable, fun, and definitely have a high cool factor. Combine that with the “classic” appearance, good after market availability, and reputed off-road capability, and you have the formula for a potential Jeep alternative.
The problem? Horrible visibility that is a serious detriment to city driving and would be a real PITA off-road. Solution? Take the top off. Now we’re getting somewhere…
This truck will be appearing at SEMA. My guess is that it will generate a swarm of fan mail and production requests…

Ah yes…another online tirade for the Jeep boys to relate to. Problem #1 (apparently) is that there are 142 different 4×4 system configurations in current model Jeeps. Well, okay…10. Problem #2 is that 2WD Jeeps exist at all.
Someone translate this all for me… Command Trac vs. Quadra Trac vs. Rock Trac vs. Selec Trac…
