I broke the old Scout’s driveshaft going up that spot. Pretzeled it by bouncing the truck…..It brought the suck for my Moab trip in ’94. I had to have a driveshaft shipped out from Ft. Collins 4×4 by fed ex….can you guess the price??? Not fun on a college student budget. I ended up having to replace my front end after that trip too….
1 x driveshaft…$$$
1 x dana 44 front end (swapped in in the Western State College Parking Lot on a Sat.)
Moab Rim is tough on parts and scary as shit taboot (on the lower section)
I’ve only been on the Rim on a Mountain Bike a few times. It’s a pretty high pucker factor, even on a bike…must be super scary in a short wheel base vehicle.
