Good news for fans of the Helldorado trail near Moab.
Recently, it was widely reported that lower Helldorado was purchased by a private citizen and promptly closed to recreational vehicles. This (naturally) led to speculation regarding the future of upper Helldorado.
Well, according to 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility, we can all rejoice at what has become of the “other” half of Helldorado. Another private group has purchased the famed trail, but the results are very different. This owner is a film producer and off-road enthusiast. His plans for the area are not closure, but responsible use, in the form of an official off-road park.
The ultimate results remain to be seen, but here’s to new owner Jeremy Parriot for keeping the area available to enthusiasts.
