Ford trucks and race cars.  Looks like a fun weekend combo.  I just wonder why the F150 is squatting so badly.  A race-prepped RX7 can’t weigh more than 2500 lbs, can it?

    I tried to call you the other night — I was watching the Mecum auction on TV, and they had a Mustang/Shelby fest going on. They got up to $4.5million on a ’65 Shelby Daytona Coupe, and couldn’t get the seller to lift the reserve… amazing. Some awesome GT350′s, GT 500′s and an incredibly clean ’69 428 Cobrajet Mach 1 that sold for $160k… bad ass.

    3 problems:

    1-using a single axle trailer to haul a vehicle
    2. too much weight on the front of the trailer.
    3. hitch not designed to handle the likely 1500# tongue weight

    I bet this combo doesn’t have brakes on the trailer….and it’s also likely that only 1/2 of the turn signals/brake lights are working.

    Hope the race car is tuned better than the towing setup.
