Always the masters of random automobile minutia, Jalopnik has run this piece on the history of the semi-legendary Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.  Even though there has never been an off road version among the 10 variants, I decided it warranted a post.

I recall seeing one of these occasionally as a kid and finding it quite entertaining.  Now I find it rather disturbing.
